How CallSwitch One Slashed Fraud Costs by 98% in 2026

Yes, you read that right.

In telecom, fraud prevention is too often treated as a reactive afterthought, with most providers only taking action when an exploit forces their hand. But over the last year, CallSwitch One has taken a very different approach.

By taking proactive ownership of network security, moving beyond basic compliance, and refining our internal tooling, we’ve achieved remarkable results from 2025-2026:

  • A 98% decrease in cost of fraud incidents

  • A 55% reduction in total fraud incidents across our entire network

Here's how we strengthened our fraud prevention measures in 2026, why our upstream carriers are noticing, and what this means for our partners and the wider telecom industry.

Top 25% for Traffic Quality: How We Keep Our Network Clean

The conventional approach to fraud protection relies on reactive reporting, where providers wait for carrier alerts or customer disputes to trigger an investigation. We flipped that dynamic.

Through robust, in-house KYC (Know Your Customer) onboarding and real-time KYT (Know Your Traffic) monitoring, CallSwitch One identifies and blocks bad actors directly at our own front door.

Features such as two-factor authentication (2FA), enabled by default for all accounts, daily account spend limits, and flexible partner-side call restrictions mean potential vulnerabilities help prevent suspicious activity from escalating

AI-driven pattern detection & upstream telemetry

Our upstream carriers use AI models to monitor calling patterns, frequency, and connection metrics across interconnected networks. In our latest weekly carrier reports, CallSwitch One traffic was categorised in the top 25% for traffic quality across their network.

By stopping malicious originations ourselves, we keep our network clean, protect downstream connections, and maintain exceptionally high carrier trust. In doing so, we safeguard not only our partners and their customers, but also the broader public on the receiving end of these scam calls.

Proactive Data Sharing & Regulatory Alignment

Stopping bad actors on our platform is only half the battle; preventing them from hopping to another network is the other.

To combat persistent fraud, CallSwitch One is working much more closely with NTS (National Trading Standards). When bad actors are identified on our platform, we actively share these insights with NTS to ensure they cannot simply register elsewhere in the UK telecom space.

This collaborative approach directly aligns with the official "Sharing data to tackle fraud guidance", recently published by Comms Council UK, developed in partnership with the Home Office and Ofcom, and featuring key input from the ICO. By actively going beyond basic regulatory expectations, we are helping set the benchmark for cross-industry cooperation.

How We Continue to Improve

Automated tools and regulatory alignment are crucial, but a continuous human feedback loop is what keeps our defenses ahead of evolving threats.

Behind the scenes, the CallSwitch One team holds weekly support meetings where fraud trends and operational insights are routinely discussed, alongside dedicated monthly fraud-focused meetings. During these sessions, we evaluate live network telemetry, review flagged traffic patterns, and examine operational workflows to answer one question: How can we refine this further?

As a result, our reseller network gets a platform that becomes harder to exploit with every passing week. Fewer incidents mean significantly less administrative overhead, fewer awkward customer conversations, and virtually zero financial exposure to runaway fraud bills. When you white-label or resell CallSwitch One, you are backed by an infrastructure rated in the top tier of UK traffic quality.

Setting a New Benchmark for the Telecom Industry

The standard for telecom fraud prevention is shifting from reaction to prevention. By combining AI-assisted telemetry, strict internal KYC/KYT checks, direct regulatory collaboration, and an ongoing development feedback loop, CallSwitch One is showing what modern telecom security looks like.

We will keep investing, keep sharing data with industry regulators, and keep delivering clean, high-quality voice traffic for our partners.
