Integrations

How can I integrate my call recordings with Amazon S3?

Step 1: Set up your Amazon IAM User

Log into your Amazon Web Services console and navigate to the IAM section.

Select an existing IAM User, or create a new User via the Add Users button. The user must have the following IAM Permissions:

  • s3:PutObject

  • s3:ListBucket

Step 2: Generate an Access Key

Once the User has the necessary permissions, under SecurityCredentials, click CreateAccessKey.

For the Access key type, select Application running outside AWS, and click Next.

Optionally give the Access Key a description, and click Create Access Key.

Copy the generated AccessKey and SecretAccessKey

Note you will only be able to see the Secret Access Key once.

Step 3: Link your account in CallSwitch One

Back in your CallSwitch One Dashboard, under Account > Cloud Storage, click the Amazon S3 Connect button.

In the form that it appears, enter the following:

Access Token: The Access Key you just generated for the IAM User.

Access Token Secret: The Secret Access Key you just generated for the IAM User.

Calls Bucket Name (optional): The S3 bucket that you would like call recordings to be uploaded to.

CDR Records Bucket Name (optional): The S3 bucket that you would like CDR records to be uploaded to.

Click Confirm, and ensure the Use for Call Recording Storage toggle is enabled.

Your Amazon S3 cloud storage is now set up!
